"He came out of his bullpen fine," Padres manager Bud Black said. "It looks as if Clayton is tracking toward Monday." Richard has been out since May 5 with an intestinal virus. He made two minor league starts and threw a bullpen session Friday at Chase Field, and he seems to be back in good health. The left-hander had a rough start to the season, as he sits at 0-4 with an 8.54 ERA through six starts.

Gonzalez drives in three as Dodgers top Cards
Adrian Gonzalez | LA
(May 25, 2013 11:01 PM EDT)
Adrian Gonzalez had three hits, including his fifth homer, and the Dodgers beat the Cardinals 5-3 on Saturday.
Gonzalez actually fell just a triple short of the cycle, driving in a run with each of his three hits. The first baseman was actually on base five times in total, as he was walked twice on the night as well. The rest of the Dodgers' sluggers may be slumping, but Gonzalez looks just fine these days. He's hitting .316/.375/.471 after Saturday's game.
Donaldson goes 4-for-4 in A's win over Astros
Josh Donaldson | OAK
(May 25, 2013 10:58 PM EDT)
Josh Donaldson finished 4-for-4 with a homer and two RBI as the A's beat the Astros 11-5 on Saturday.
The magic continues for Donaldson, who boasts an outrageous .322/.398/.544 batting line in 49 games this season. He's on pace for 23 home runs and 97 RBI, which would make him a top tier third baseman (or very close to it) in standard mixed fantasy leagues. Some regression should be expected, but the 27-year-old is obviously a viable starting option in most formats right now.
Minor dominates again as Braves blank Mets
Mike Minor | ATL
(May 25, 2013 10:47 PM EDT)
Mike Minor tossed 7 1/3 scoreless innings Saturday as the Braves cruised to a 6-0 win over the Mets.
Minor was outstanding once again, striking out 10 batters and allowing only three hits. He also helped his own cause at the plate with a single and a two-run shot. The 25-year-old left-hander has only been shaky in one of his 10 outings this year and is beginning to fan batters at an exceptional rate. He will carry a 2.47 ERA and 0.93 WHIP into his next start against the Blue Jays.
Peavy hurls complete game, collects sixth win
Jake Peavy | CWS
(May 25, 2013 10:13 PM EDT)
Jake Peavy threw a complete game Saturday as the White Sox won 2-1 over the Marlins.
Peavy did not allow a run until Derek Dietrich took him deep in the top of the ninth inning. The veteran right-hander struck out five batters and allowed only six hits in his nine total frames. He is now 6-2 with a 2.97 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 63/15 K/BB ratio in 60 2/3 innings this season. The Cubs are on tap for him next.
Rays' Maddon sticking with Rodney at closer
Fernando Rodney | TB
(May 25, 2013 8:58 PM EDT)
Rays manager Joe Maddon said after Saturday's blown save that he's still confident in closer Fernando Rodney.
The blown save was Rodney's fifth of the year and his second in two games after blowing just two all of last season. The right-hander now has a 6.05 ERA, and while votes of confidence are nice, they fade quickly when results don't follow. Rodney remains the closer for now, but the leash is likely very short. Joel Peralta is a must-add.

John Gast exits start with shoulder tightness
John Gast | STL
(May 25, 2013 8:03 PM EDT)
John Gast left in the second inning of his start Saturday against the Dodgers due to left shoulder tightness.
Gast's velocity was down from the first pitch, so it's not surprising to find out that he was dealing with an injury. If he has to make a trip to the disabled list, reliever Joe Kelly or last year's first-round pick Michael Wacha could be options to replace him in the rotation.

Pagan hits walkoff two-run inside-the-park HR
Angel Pagan | SF
(May 25, 2013 8:00 PM EDT)
Angel Pagan hit a walkoff two-run inside-the-park homer in the 10th inning Saturday as the Giants marched back to defeat the Rockies by a score of 6-5.
The Giants trailed at two different points in the game but kept plugging away and finally broke through when Pagan launched a towering shot to "Triples Alley" at AT&T Park with one out in the bottom of the 10th. The ball bounced high off the wall and into center field, allowing Pagan to travel all the way around the diamond. It was a wild finish.
Chapman earns 12th save, Reds defeat Cubs
Aroldis Chapman | CIN
(May 25, 2013 7:40 PM EDT)
Aroldis Chapman earned his 12th save of the season Saturday in the Reds' 5-2 defeat of the Cubs.
Chapman also got a save on Friday and has seemingly bounced back from the struggles he experienced earlier this month. The hard-throwing lefty has a 2.74 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 39/10 K/BB ratio in 23 innings this season.
Henderson (hamstring) placed on disabled list
Jim Henderson | MLW
(May 25, 2013 7:21 PM EDT)
Brewers placed RHP Jim Henderson on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring.
Henderson injured the hamstring during Friday's game, and it turned out to be severe enough to require a trip to the DL. A corresponding roster move will be made on Sunday. There is no indication as to who might save games while Henderson is out. Francisco Rodriguez and John Axford are the primary candidates.
